Team Fortress 2 Guide — Movement & Aim

Nine-class aim styles, official-Wiki configuration commands and movement fundamentals.

Source checked: 2026-08-28

Projectile lead

Soldier and Demoman reward reading where a target will be when the projectile arrives, not where the target is when you click.

Splash placement

Floor/wall splash can be more reliable than direct-hit hunting, especially around corners or elevation changes.

Rocket / sticky movement

Practice takeoff angle, crouch-jump timing and air control in a controlled map before applying it in matches.

Hitscan tracking

Scout and Heavy emphasize stable tracking at very different ranges and movement speeds; Sniper emphasizes precision and angle discipline.

FPSVERO does not package old networking tweaks as “must-use competitive settings.” Server/client behavior changes over time, and copying obsolete interp values can make a config worse.
